CIS MANAGEMENT NAMED 2011 GARDEN STATE AWARDS FINALISTS
NJAA 18th Annual Awards to be Presented in October
LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J., Sept. 29, 2011 – CIS Management, Inc., the property management affiliate of Community Investment Strategies (CIS), Inc., the developer and builder of apartment-rental communities throughout New Jersey, has been selected as a finalist in the 18th Annual Garden State Awards, sponsored by the New Jersey Apartment Association (NJAA).
CIS’ communities and individual employees have been recognized for their achievements as finalists in eight categories. The juried event honors leaders in the state’s rental housing industry. NJAA will present awards to individuals and companies in more than 50 categories, including property management, affordable housing, and maintenance. Industry experts are brought in from out of state to professionally inspect and judge all of the nominated individuals and properties.
Eight CIS communities have been distinguished in several award categories. Both Heritage Village at Manalapan, and Heritage Village at Elton Corner were named as finalists in two categories – best affordable garden to low-rise apartments built after 2000, and best curb appeal (Central Jersey). Heritage Village at Lawrence is a finalist for best curb appeal for affordable garden- to low-rise apartments built after 2000 (Central Jersey). Also, recognized in the category of best affordable mid- to high-rise apartments built after 1981 (North Jersey), and best curb appeal built after 2000 was Pine Street Urban Renewal. Toms River Crescent is also a finalist in the categories of best curb appeal for affordable garden- to low-rise apartments built after 2000 (South), and Heritage Village at Lambertville is a finalist for affordable mid- to high-rise apartments built after 2000.
Individual achievements recognized three CIS employees. Yvette Carter is a finalist for Property Manager of the Year for her work at two affordable housing communities, Heritage Village at Lambertville, and Heritage Village at Lawrence. In addition, Maribel Toro is a finalist for Property Manager of the Year for her work at Heritage Village at Manalapan. Joseph Jackson was also selected as a finalist for Maintenance Technician of the Year (Central New Jersey) for his work at Heritage Village at Lawrence.
Finally, CIS Management, Inc. was chosen as a finalist for the premier Management Company of the Year (Affordable) award.
